Normally at this time of year, I would be walking with close friends on the familiar streets of Orosi, Costa Rica, however, this winter break I'm traveling through San Diego and northern parts of Baja California, Mexico. I spent three days in Pacific Beach, San Diego at a hostel called Banana Bungalows that was right on the beach. There was no water for the first day but the variety of individuals staying at the hostel created a lively environment. I met people from Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France and the Netherlands; some were recently graduated students traveling to throughout United States and others came for the surf. I spent the majority of my mornings and late afternoons snapping frames along the boardwalk and coast.
